...To encourage, support, and promote interaction between one another...

What are we doing here?

The focus here is to bring acceptance to ALL inter-racial, inter-cultural relationships, with the main importance of the once (and in many ways still-) taboo connections of Black Women and Asian Men.

Why are we doing this?

We are doing this because there is still racism in the world. There are people that still give unwarranted looks and/or remarks when they would see a Black Woman with an Asian Man in almost any context.

Where, Who, How?

By being a member, YOU are the person who is going to make a difference. You will do it within the locale you are from or going to reside. We are going to do this by connecting, with a deep network of men and women interchanging experiences, helpful hands, and in the public by showing that we all can hang out, have fun, laugh, cry, and be in relations with one another. We present the world with what they might not have encountered before, to open the doors for both curious and serious AM and BW (or any other race open to interracial relationships or socializing) to know that “it’s okay.”

So, we support getting to know others, and allowing yourself to be known by others. We support people making events and inviting their friends –creating a ripple/mark in time …thereby changing the future.

We believe in encouraging real relations between Asian Men and Black Women.

We connect and continue with similar goals, as BW can have a place to express and have shared understanding with other BW and such the same for AM with AM. We are not here to put AM or BW on an uneven plane or pedestal. We focus on connections rather than just one spectrum.

In essence, you are allowed to be who you are. You will be accepted so as long as you are open and honest with yourself and others, you will be fine -and if you are not, well, the site will test inherent self-deception that is usually the reason for not being able to connect.

Enjoy the site. It's your world, do what you will with it –but don’t abuse it.

The point of Bwam is 1) Interaction/Friendships, 2) Self-Expression/Evolution, 3) Self Change/Understanding through Events/Experiences and Eachother.

Please Note: The voice of THE PEOPLE, the membership of BWAMU2 that will rule the day. But if you are found to have a fake account, or double account, your days are numbered -you will be dismissed by the Admins. Any harassment beyond the emotional, physical, spiritual, mental, or relational boundaries of another without consent will be deemed grounds for termination of your profile.  If you wish to appeal, the site email is BlackWAsianM@gmail.com. and I'll research the admins on why you were banned.  (Admins listed on the right.)

NO, we aren't shutting down- BWAMU FOREVER! We will be asking for Donations on a Web-A-Thon. From each member 21 and over, we are asking $12 a year, and for 21 and under $6 a year to keep this site free and clear from Advertisements and to fund Bwamu site memory usage and updating Chat/Event options.  We will start asking [through email/inbox/forum/wallposts] around April because the Site Bill starts after June Ends.  Please SUPPORT Your Site! It's only 12.5 - 25cents a week, a dollar a month!

* No nude profile pics please -leave that stuff on your personal albums, do what you want with your page, and if you want to do things that are questionable, privatize your albums. [Please inform an admin to remove open nude material by inboxing a link to the material.]  Try your best to keep questionable material in the appropriate groups for those who use the site at work.  If you are going to post something questionable on the forum, don't make it activate or show without clicking a link and warn that the media may be of a questionable nature.

* If you get into a dispute, first try to handle it yourself, directly, if you can't or wont, then come to one of the administrators so we can either mediate, or suggest actions. Banning someone should be the last option, and I have added the "suspend" option to the site, but we are human and adults, we can learn and change our perspective.

*I am highly aware that not all people are here for actual full fledged relationships, so if you are about that, just keep it upfront with each other.  No need to lie and create mini-dramas on the site or leave due to being misled.  We are attempting to bring people together, not pull them apart. 

*Be yourself, express yourself, tolerate others, and get to know yourself and others in the process. You can't get along with someone you don't understand or come to know. (Basic spiritual, philosophical lesson here!)

**Try not to take pictures of people in the chat, or steal their pics on the site please. If a normal member asks you not to reply to them, just respect them and their choice. We are not all going to get along.
