I just found this video and was wondering, do you guys truly feel like this?  Obviously, none of the women here believe it.

Yeah I don't believe

I agree with KevJumba about Asian guys needing to gain some confidents. I think asian guys need to stop looking up to the American (or western) to gage their attractiveness which is belittled constantly. Really how often do you see attractive asian guys that aren't portray as nerds or a karate action hero....not often. This is what is often internalized by people in the U.S.. However when I look at Asian media hot asian guys are everywhere. If Asian guys were promoted in the U.S. like asian guys are promoted in Asia than asian guys would be just as hot but, they aren't portray as such. So its up to asian guys to show how hot they are in real life. Just like its up to individual black women to show whats good about them to people they meet. Asian guys need to do the same!

PS: BTW I think that KevinJumba is attractive. Aside from looks I like the confidents and personality he displays on camera.

lol I know you wanted a guys answer but, I just had to add something..Interesting topic!

LOL Go Bears!  Not everyone can be the sexy beast that you are! (*psst...still trying to recover from that visual you gave me, wowsers!)

I don't mind who answers, April!!!  I just wanted to stir the "empowerment pot" with a little humor.

I totally agree with you both about the media.  As soon as I saw this video, my first thought was like, "Dang!  Who whitewashed and brainwashed these guys?" I wanted to give a boot to the head to his friend  myself. American entertainment has a long way to go before an Asian man or woman will be the empowered Main hero, not some sidekick, receive top billing and correspondng pay outside martial arts genre. Those that are the main hero or heroine get shown in "sellected" theaters or have limited showings.  Not to mention have even less advertising to let the masses know that they're even out there for viewing.

In the meantime, I will read my mangas and watch my dramas.

To find love, you have to first learn to love yourself. And I think low self esteem is not just an Asian issue, it applies to every race.

The issue of insecurity isn't always on the Asian man's side.

For example, I can assure you, if an Asian man walked into a bar with a tall blonde women, there will be at least one loud white guy who will confront him (with his friends backing him up, of course).  Some guys still have this belief that a woman from his race belongs to him, even if she clearly has not intention of even giving him the time of day.

If you look closely at the bottom of the totem pole, you'll see "Made in Taiwan".  So, in a sense, Asian men are the Creators.

you saw the Kevjumba

What's the Kevjumba?

KevJumba! Him so funny ^_^ but he's right!

BUT if there ARE any Asian men who feel they are at the bottom of the totem pole then I'll just join the one's who are at the top of the totem pole and we'll have a party and maybe the one's at the bottom will finally join in.. so ayyyyyyyyy! \(^.^)/

Awesome reply!

Thank you! lol

We should get tattoos together!
