@Sam...I think I'll stick with the N4 for a bit.  LOL!  I usually test well but I dunno.  It's hard to stay motivated when you doing things solo.

@KD This years N3 was definitely a mixture of the old 3kyuu and 2kyuu. There where bits that I breezed through and bits that made me want to throw my exam paper at the head of the dude in front of me.

To prep I had planned to go to classes, I bought those 日本語総まとめ 6 week study books, then never completed those either lol.

Foe Kanji though I used the revision set on I actually did that daily or a few hours. But then then about 4 weeks before the exam I stopped studying all together as I lost my motivation lol.

Those that took the N3 how was it?  How did you prepare?

Hi all, I studied Mandarin alongside my major at uni, but I suck at it now lol.Trying to find some study buddies for Japanese (Just sat the N3, I need this for work) and Korean - total beginner but have heard its fun to learn, so why not.

If your UK based even more awesome, but male/female worldwide, lets help each other out. ;)

Hey guys! I'm currently studying Japanese language and culture. Eventually I would like to learn Mandarin. I would really appreciate a helping hand :)

@KD as of now I'm winging it. I should be studying but with work I never can really make a set schedule. I was going to language school during the day which was helping a bit but they will be going on summer break soon. And I have a few books that I need to crack open.

My friend offered to tutor me specifically for the test so I might have to take him up on that.

@Darkumbra...Are you studying suggested word lists or just winging it and doing your own thing?  I've been studying hi frequency words and suggested vocab lists for levels 5/4

I am learning Japanese. I signed up for N3 in July but I've been so busy with work that I hardly have time to study. Actually, work popped up that day so I might not even make it to the test site.

I'm thinking about really getting on my grind and taking N2 in December. It's going to be killer though since I hardly know kanji.
