Just stopping by to say to hi to all.

Hey everyone, how's it going? How's you walk with God going? I was wondering how do you all maintain your relationship with the Lord in such a busy society where we have so many daily responsiblities. Do you make it a priority to fellowship daily with God? Do you set a special time to read and reflect on the word? I can personally say, it get's dry sometimes and I often neglect my personal walk and I'm not happy about this. I've made a decision to start holding myself more accountable spiritually, so that I can be active in God's army. Please share on how you continue to stay strenghtened in this walk.

Hi Jhincey,

I hope you're doing well.  As of late, trying to maintain my relationship with the Lord has been difficult because I'm going through yet another valley experience, and it seems like He's far away.  Of course I know better, but that doesn't stop the fact that I'm still human with these human feelings.  I don't necessarily set a special time aside to read and reflect on the Word because, like you, I feel it becomes dry, and I don't always feel connected to the Word.  I don't know if that makes sense, but sometimes it just feels like I'm simply reading words on a page when the Word itself is living.  I do, however, try to simply talk to the Lord throughout the day, even if it's simply small thoughts that pop up.

I know I need to get back to being proactive in my walk like I used to be.  I think where I am now, I've sadly lost zeal and joy that I once had, even when the going got tough.

Hey, God bless you.

I feel as Christians we will all go through dry periods and in these periods we should strive to prioritize on the Lord even more, because I've come to find it's when the spiritual battle we don't see is getting rough and we're needed for intercessory and activity for the Lord. I'd tend to meditate on scriptures that focus on the area of concern if it be anxiety Philippians 4:6, if it be encouragement, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. A quick google search will reveal many gems God's word reveals to us.

Iremind myself of God's promises and how he remains faithful concerning them.

Morning devotionals and time of prayer are crucial for me personally because they set me up spiritually for the day. Putting on the armor of God, worship music, a sermon on youtube. But most importantly yearning to be filled with the Holy Spirit and putting myself in a humble position to yield for the Lord to use me.

I'm happy God has led me to other Christians I can fellowship in my area for weekly Bible studies, getting a meal together, and times for evangelism. Without other believers it's so difficult for me.

I'm glad you've felt led to take your walk more seriously and I'll be keeping you in prayer on that.

God bless and His grace be upon you.
