So we're all here because we're representing DMV but who in this group was born and raised here?

I'm actually from Detroit. I moved to MD about 2 years ago. And I've been enjoying it so far. NO SNOW!!! I still go into Detroit mode sometimes (like saying "pop"). But I'll be here for quite a while.

So what about y'all?

I'm born and raised in Baltimore. XD It's home for me.

I haven't been on here in awhile - Born in Baltimore but essentially grew up in the VA area :)

born in baltimore..spent 22 years of my life in DC

i have lived in dmv for 22 years Florida native

Born in South Carolina, but have lived all across the world due to being a military brat.

I've spent most of my years in Virginia though; 4 in Norfolk, and the most recent 12 in northern VA.

Born in VA, lived in DC for 11 years, then moved to MD and have been here since...DMV raised haha

Born in D.C. and raised between D.C. and Montgomery County, MD and now work/live in Baltimore for MD State Govt. I am hoping to come back home soon...I miss mambo sauce on my chicken wings :-(

Born and raised in Baltimore and now I'm in Severna Park (Close to Annapolis)

I was born in Indiana. Spent some time in Hawaii and now live in the Columbia Heights area of D.C.

I've been in the DMV my whole life, born in Takoma Park, spent some time in D.C and have pretty much stamped the entirety of P.G. county and I can't wait to get my hands on Virginia. It's weird though, people constantly ask me where I'm from and guesses have ranged from the Dakota's and Northern California to Florida and the Carolina's. I wonder if it's my accent? Someone from the Midwest once told me that Washingtonians sound like news casters (kind of neutral and accent-less) though I've never made the connection...

Born in DC raised in MD :) Now I'm going to university in DC

DMV for for now

Our Mission (Tenative)

***To support, encourage, & promote interaction between Asian Men & Black Women.

***To be tolerant of all views of all members on this site.m (Suffering and disagreements are part of life people.)

***Respect all religious, spiritual, and agnostic views of it's members.

***To be more accepting than exclusive, yet hold the right to remove those that harm others.

*Freedom of speech, thought, and heart are placed if they are based on the foundation of truth and don't injure others (in the defined form of physical, proprietorial, or financial harm). Debate, heated or otherwise are allowed, for it is the persons involved that must deal with the emotional or mental "suffering," if any.

****P.S. Learn how to take a joke, and identify the intent of the people which you are talking to.  You are responsible for yourself, your own responses, reactions, and giving power to yourself and others over you.  Be accountable, don't play victim all the time.  These are still people, some people are up front, others hide behind their profiles.  Don't make personal issues site issues, if you take off your clothes on skype or in real life and bicker about it on Bwamu...guess what, it's a personal issue.  Grow up.

***All that is needed for membership is the support of the movement, and active participation by all!
